Ken Kempf CFA

Ken is a Senior Analyst at Engaged Capital. His responsibilities include idea generation, investment research, and portfolio company engagement and support.

Ken has covered public equities in the consumer sector for over 10 years, most recently at Legion Partners, a small-cap activist fund. Prior to Legion, Ken was a portfolio manager at multi-strategy investment fund Tricadia Capital in New York. From 2010 to 2014, Ken was a member of the consumer team at activist fund Relational Investors. At Relational, Ken worked with Glenn and Chris, finishing his career at the firm as a senior analyst leading investments in the consumer sector. Prior to Relational, Ken worked at a private equity fund, Graham Partners, as an associate with responsibilities that included fundamental research, deal execution, and portfolio company management. Ken began his career as an investment banking analyst at Credit Suisse.

Ken graduated cum laude from Georgetown University, where he earned a double-major in finance and international business and a minor in government. He also studied strategic management and international finance at Oxford University and is a CFA Charterholder.
