Carol Tang

Carol serves as the Controller at Engaged Capital. She is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the firm’s fund accounting, audit, and tax reporting processes. Working closely with the CFO and operations team, Carol ensures the accuracy, timeliness, and integrity of the firm’s financial data and reporting infrastructure. She plays a key role in managing service provider relationships and supporting the financial oversight of the firm’s investment vehicles. Carol brings over 20 years of experience in fund accounting and operations across private equity and hedge fund platforms.

Prior to joining Engaged Capital, she was the Operations and Fund Accounting Specialist at Castle Creek Capital LLC, a $750 million AUM private equity firm. Before that, she served as Assistant Fund Controller at Relational Investors LLC and held the role of Operations and Fund Accounting Manager at Lightbox Capital Management LLC, a New York–based market neutral fund. Carol began her career in alternative investments at Freeman Associates Investment Management.

Carol earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Hobart and William Smith Colleges in Geneva, New York.
